Though an Engineering student, I have always had a passion for teaching. As a math student, I was always eager to help my peers when they did not understand material. My experience as a tutor began when, almost every evening, I helped my sister with her homework first in Algebra 2, then FST. She ended up doing very well in each class. A year later, I began tutoring my cousin who had difficulty in 5th grade math. After a summer of once-per-week tutoring, he ended up receiving the math award at his school for the fall semester. I am now involved in tutoring a fellow college student in Algebra 2 after I helped him pass Algebra 1.
