I am alumni of Mott Community College, also the winner of 12 art/design related awards including Drawing I & II, Corporate Design, Communication Design Across Cultures, Typography, 2D Design, Web and Portfolio Design and more. I am a previous recipient of the Pierians Art Scholarship-affiliated with the Flint Institute of Arts and an enrolled student at the College for Creative Studies studying graphic design. I am a part time employee of the Professional Education Services Group, working as a Substitute Paraprofessional Teacher. I have a passion for fine arts, design, graphic arts, fashion, and photography.
Teaching methods include: discovering the strengths and weaknesses of the student and applying various methods such as multimedia, readings, and hands-on training to improve skills in each subject. The first step is to speak with the student on behalf of the goals of the tutoring sessions, then I will organize sessions according to the needs of the student and the steps needed to meet those needs. I am a strong believer in originality, craft, diverse creativity, and learning by visual and hands-on methods to enhance experience and understanding.
