Small group or individual English, Reading, or ACT or SAT test prep tutoring available, tailored to the specific needs, strengths, or perceived weaknesses or each student.
As a teacher with over 22 years of successful and effective teaching experience in some of the best public and private schools, I’ve seen—first hand—the opportunities and the excitement that can be generated from tutoring and top test scores. No one likes to walk into an important test or class unprepared, and no one should feel as if they are falling behind, or less ready than their peers. Preparation leads to confidence and success.
As an instructor with over 10 years of specific group and individual test prep instruction, in both the ACT and SAT, I know how much students and parents want and need this preparation. Often, the information they learn in their ACT/SAT prep was not taught in “regular” classes—this is true especially in English. These students need some help, and it’s that kind of assistance I’ve been offering for years. They payoff for them, and for me, speaks for itself.
In English: tutoring on usage, mechanics, syntax, rhetorical skills, style, etc.

In Writing: persuasion and argument, writing conventions, organization, proofreading and revision, pacing and prewriting, and much more.
