I have received a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from the University of Michigan and the Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA) from the University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations. My classroom experience has encompassed but not limited to: serving students as a Course Assistant at the university level improving academic essay writing techniques; counseling students as a Peer Advisor on academic writing and optimizing college resources; creating lesson plans for students with a beginner-, intermediate-, and advanced-level comprehension of English.
I am also constantly involved with freelance writing and editing projects--most recently I completed a screenplay about the blind pursuit of achieving a creative voice and independence. As I am currently adapting a children's novel for screenplay format, I am eager to assist students with utilizing the English language to the best of his/her ability. I am willing to travel and work with students who want to achieve their goals in learning how to optimally use the English language.
