Being a former football player for Michigan State University, everything I do is magnified in my hometown newspaper. As such I carry the burden of knowing that I am having an influence on countless individuals everyday. This is not a burden that I carry lightly, it actually influences most of the decisions that I make in life – partly because so many people from my community have invested so much in me. To this day I still have a relationship with some of my high school teachers who have taught me some of the valuable teaching techniques that I employ in the classroom while being a teaching assistant for college algebra at Michigan State University. I take great pride in perfecting my techniques while teaching college students math to fit the individuals that I am tutoring, so that they can experience the same success I had in my math classes at MSU. Time management, preparation, and confidence are things students take away from one-on-one sessions with me on their way to a better understanding of the subject at hand. I have 100% confidence in the students leaving tutoring sessions with me that they are better at math, and I hope you as parents/students develop that same confidence in me as I make math a little bit more enjoyable for the everyone involved.
