Hi there!

I've been teaching English, Writing, History, Theatre, and more at the college level for the past five years. I just moved from Brooklyn to Detroit and am looking for tutoring work as I finish my PhD in Theatre History.

I pride myself on making writing and reading fun and rewarding for students of all ages and levels. I'm experienced in all types of writing: research papers, creative non-fiction, reader response, fiction, dramatic, poetry, and everything in between. I've also taught ESL and TOEFL at several places, mostly as a volunteer. One particular skill involves making grammar feel important to the creative process that is writing.

In addition to my academic and teaching work, I'm a working artist, creating original theatre works. My art practice helps me to keep creatively engaged in the world around me, an energy that helps me invest fully in teaching.

How do I receive a discount?

Save between 5 and 15% on tutoring by purchasing credit with one of our prepaid discount packages. You can buy one of our standard 5, 10 or 15% packages or customize your own package based on how much tutoring you need. The credit you purchase can be used towards any tutor at any time and does not expire. If you do not use the entire package, we will simply deduct what you did spend on tutoring from your original purchase price and give you a refund. Discount packages start as low as $190.
