I live in Detroit and have previously worked as an elementary and Spanish teacher at a Montessori school, a toddler teacher, and now I currently work at as a K/1 ESL, Reading and Math Interventionist at a school in SW Detroit.
My love for teaching started through teaching Sunday School and Vacation Bible School classes at my home church throughout high school and grew during college as I worked during the school year for four years at a school in Detroit with kindergarteners through third graders, designing individualized lesson plans in reading and writing and growing a relationship with them over the course of the school year alongside many summer tutoring jobs.
I'm a recent graduate from U of M. I studied Linguistics and Spanish and plan to pursue a masters in ESL and Elementary Education at EMU this coming fall. I love learning languages, traveling, reading, writing, and teaching! I also love doing arts and crafts with children, creating games and doing whatever it takes to make learning fun! I love children and look forward to meeting you and your family!
