Teaching has always been part of my professional career. I have a strong academic background in Economics-an undergraduate degree in Economics and Management from University of London and later a Masters in Development Economics from the George Washington University in Washington ,D.C. Until recently, I was working for the World Bank as a Consultant conducting research on issues in development economics and also doing data analysis on broad economics topics with Economist Intelligence Unit. Now moved to Michigan area due to my husband's job,but I still need to stay connected with the subject I always had fun learning and applying in practical life.
Therefore, I will be able to work with a student and help him or her understand the concepts using real life examples related to global economy. My teaching philosophy has always been to effectively combine academic knowledge with practical experience so that a student can grasp even the most difficult concepts of Economics.
My experience of teaching SAT students and working as a Teachers Assistant for Economics at the undergraduate level has prepared me well for this exciting tutoring opportunity.
I am willing to offer help on any subject related questions that a student might have between scheduled meetings.
