Currently, I'm student at Eastern Michigan University in my final year of undergraduate school. My major is biology with a concentration in ecology and minor in zoology. Courses that I have taken in past include Introductory biology I and II, Ecology, Genetics, Evolution, Ichthyology, Mammalogy, Primate Ecology, and Herpetology. With an overall GPA of 3.37, I have the academic experience to teach both the basic and advanced concepts in biology.
My field experience ranges from working with a research scientist in fisheries at the University of Michigan to a research internship in South Africa studying white sharks (Carcharodon carcharias). Both my academic background and experience in the field make me a strong a candidate to teach you or your children biological concepts.
The tutoring approach I take is to be patient and work slowly with the student until they understand each principle in biology starting with the fundamental concepts. Each person learns differently so there will be aspects of visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning incorporated in each session.
