I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Sciences from Wayne State University with a major in Biology and minor in Health Psychology. My mission is to experience life through teaching others. To that end, I have taught middle school students Spanish at St. Clement Catholic School. The job taught about confidence and patience as I had to deal with some teenagers who seemed to be having difficulties learning concepts. I learned to have true compassion for students who were dealing with emotional turmoil. I can deal with kids, teenagers and young adults. I’m committed to becoming the best tutor that I can be because education is very important to me. I’m dedicated to excellence since I want the best for my students and myself as well. I never settled for poor grades, knowing it reflects upon my ability to teach and student’s ability to learn. I like to get students to think outside the box by encouraging sharing of ideas. My goal is to have students learn and be able to apply what they learned while maintaining high performance on exams. I believe that all students are capable of doing well if they have the right tutor/teacher. I never accept that a student is a lost cause and I’m willing to encourage students who are frustrated and provide them with support and the belief that they can learn the material. I’m willing to help students achieve by providing extra assistance in order to do well during their academic career. The goal is to realize that achievement is about good test grades as well as mastering the subject and I’m willing to work with students to achieve this goal.
