Hi,

I graduated from Purdue University with an Industrial Engineering degree and as a result of this, I have a strong math & science background. Teaching students of all ages is something I truly love. In the past, I served in as a tutor for both middle & high school students. In addition to this, I have led various camps geared at teaching elementary school students concepts as well. Because of my experiences and my passion for teaching, I feel very comfortable sharing knowledge, explaining concepts and I enjoy seeing students succeed in school. Althoug there are many other examples I could mention, I will highlight one of my volunteer experiences. I facilitated a summer camp that introduced 4th & 5th grade students to Biomedical Engineering by teaching them about injury-prevention topics (i.e. the importance of wearing a helmet while riding a bike, the "whiplash effect" that occurs during a car accident). This is probably one of the clearest experiences that demonstrates my ability to communicate complex ideas in a way that any student -who is willing to learn- can understand. Over time, I have come to appreciate the value of community service and find that my volunteer experiences have been extremely rewarding to both the recipients and myself.
