I have taught on the middle school, high school, and college levels for 20 years. I have taught everything from basic English to Advanced Composition and Creative Writing. Most recently, I tutored ACT and SAT English Prep for over a year. I had great success with all of my students. Not only did their scores improve, but their grades in class went up as well. Additionally, I had a few ESL English students who transfered to regular English within one semester. As you might imagine, they were quite thrilled!
I believe that my degrees from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, helped prepare me for all the years I have taught/tutored thus far. I know firsthand the difficulties and pressures of deadlines, research papers, and ACT/SAT test prep. I undestand English grammar and its rules, essay writing and its demands, and reading comprehension questions that baffle.
