I am a retired Mechanical Engineer with over 30 years' experience in the pulp and paper industry. Since retirement from full time employment, I have worked part time as an independent consultant. My consulting work involved developing training materials for operators in the pulp and paper and oil and gas industry. I have also worked as an adjunct instructor to engineering students at a local engineering college.
I am very interested in helping students grasp and understand the principles of math and science. Since math and science are the basis of many types of machines, processes and materials used in everyday life, it is of utmost importance that students learn the basics of math and science.
With my background and experience, I believe that I can effectively assist students in learning math and science by relating the principles to real life situations. I will target my instruction to whatever level the student is at and will avoid overwhelming students with materials and instruction that is above or beyond the scope and level we are striving to achieve with the student.
