I am a Harvard-educated attorney who is passionate about teaching and writing. Specifically, I strive to help students write with clarity, confidence, and polish. Whether you need assistance conceptualizing and framing a thesis for a particular project, or ongoing academic support, I will work closely with you and provide rigorous feedback on your progress.

Beyond writing, I am a versatile, enthusiastic tutor who tries to share a sense of intellectual curiosity. I'm happy to share test-taking tactics, but my objective is to help you master the material and, where there are gaps, draw on your strengths to maximize test performance.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Bar Exam

An attorney who graduated with honors from the University of Chicago, I took the bar exam successfully in two jurisdictions. I am particularly strong at helping students organize essays and hit the main points in order to succeed with the test scorers.

Logic

A former philosophy major at Harvard, I have studied and excelled at deductive logic. I took the LSAT twice, which has a critical logical component. I scored in the top 1% on both exams, scoring a near-perfect 178 on the second exam.

SAT Math

I was formerly an SAT tutor with an established Boston-based tutoring group. I enjoy coaching students on both quantitative and verbal subjects; I can identify areas of weakness, focus energies on those areas, and work to build the student's competence and test confidence.
