Former Air Force Sergeant with lifetime experience of working with youth offers tutoring services in writing, public speaking, and basic communication skills. When my oldest children were in elementary school, I home-schooled them using unit study methods and a hands-on approach until my oldest son was in 6th grade - he ended up graduated from public high school with a full scholarship to a private military college, so I guess his foundation at home served him well. In 2003, I became a single mother, returned to college and graduated with honors, speaking not only to my skills, but to my commitment level.

I have been subbing/tutoring in the local public schools, particularly being requested by principals for the special education classroom because of my patience and rapport with special needs children. My manner with students is very calm and encouraging, and my focus is more on their accomplishments and talents than their faults and mistakes.
