ESL/ESOL

I've been teaching different languages for a few years. I speak 4 languages including English. I understand the challenges of learning a new language and how to overcome them. Grammar is my forte and that's what you mostly need to succeed. We got this!

French

I've taught French and I've been a translator for a few years. I also worked at a United Nations office for 11 years where French was the work language. The impact of a private tutor can be amazing while learning and professing a foreign language!

Grammar

In the process of learning and then teaching 3 different languages, I've mastered grammar in each single one. I'm very aware of the challenges so it has become my forte. If that's what you mostly need to succeed - we've got this!

Portuguese

I speak 4 languages, Portuguese is my maternal tongue and I speak it on a daily basis. Nothing replaces the one-on-one interaction. So while learning and professing a foreign language the impact of a private tutor can be amazing!

Spanish

Spanish has always been a big part of my life. In high school I took all science related classes in Spanish. I took Spanish in college. On a daily basis, I communicate with native speakers, and I frequently watch Telemundo and Univision.

TOEFL

Approved Subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet certified in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
