I lived in France for many years, and there got my License of Language Sciences, DEA of African Linguistics, Master’s Degree of French as Foreign Language and Doctorate of Linguistics and Phonetics. I also passed the PRAXIS II/French Test.
For more than 10 years, I have taught French language courses at Secondary and College levels. I have extensive experience in teaching adults with specific objectives. I have helped hundreds of students at all levels of French acquisition in various States, Private Institutions, local and International organizations, using new technology based teaching. I enjoyed teaching courses concerning professional language and French culture.
I have co-authored six French Textbooks for beginning learners in Rwanda. I worked in tight collaboration with the National Curriculum Development Center in Rwanda and contributed very much in creating French curricula for all levels of instruction. I was on the pioneering team of the Distance Learning Program within Kigali Institute of Education. In addition to teaching and research, I have been supervising intern French students, Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree research theses. Numerous books translations from/into three different languages (French- English- Kinyarwanda) sharpened my abilities to deal with language and culture subtleties.
Informed by diverse experiences in Africa, Europe and America, I feel quite enthusiastic and well equipped to teach the French language and culture at all levels.
