Do you have learning disabilities or just have trouble understanding math or science concepts? Are you worried about how this will affect your chances of graduating or getting into college?

Besides being necessary to graduate from high school, good math and science skills can help you expand your job opportunities once you enter the job market.

I can assess your current level of understanding, focus on any weak areas, help you improve your grades, and give you the best shot at achieving your goals. I also review IEPs to make sure that students are meeting their plan goals.

I'm a retired Professional Engineer with 30 years of experience applying math and science on the job. I helped my customers understand the technical parts of their projects, so I’ve been teaching math and science my whole career. These days, I do one-on-one and group tutoring in the subjects I know best.

If you want to boost your grades or get ready for college, give me a call.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Business

I earned my Masters in Business Administration degree (International Executive MBA) from Georgetown University in 1997. The areas covered included business law, accounting, finance, marketing, decision-making tools, competitive strategy, operations/information management, leadership/power/ethics, and global business environment. I learned entrepreneurial skills from operating my own businesses over the past seven years.

Marketing

I possess an MBA from Georgetown University. The curriculum included a strong marketing component with an international focus. My 25 year career as an engineer and technical consultant has required me to identify and pursue new market opportunities to grow my employers' companies and, currently, my sole proprietorship.

Mechanical Engineering

I am a registered Professional Engineer with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and 25 years of experience in the field. Every position I have held during my career has involved training junior engineers/interns, delivering seminars/educational sessions to clients, or both.

Praxis

I have taken several Praxis Tests and have done very well on all of them. My scores highly qualify me to teach all of the math and science curricula at the middle school and high school levels. My scores are as follows:
Praxis 1: 550/570
MS Science: 198/200
MS Math: 195/200
HS Math: 178/200
HS Chemistry: 177/200
HS Physics: 179/200 (awarded ETS Recognition of Excellence certificate).
