With more the ten years of experience in education, I have had the opportunity to work with students of various skills and age levels. I recently completed a PhD in Educational Psychology, which uniquely positions me to understand the way that people learn and customize tutoring sessions to address these varied needs. As a former kindergarten teacher, I personally understand many of the challenges that students may face in the classroom.

I have worked with students as young as preschool and even adult learners in college and in other settings. Regardless of the age, I focus on building competence and confidence. I assist students in discovering areas in which they are strong, and where there are opportunities for growth. My approach focuses on patience, compassion, and encouragement. My past clients have found me highly personable and approachable, making sessions pleasant for the client, as rapport is essential for a productive tutoring/client interaction.

Beyond focusing on content, tutoring clients will benefit from concrete strategies that will support the learning process during sessions and outside the session. I am highly capable of supporting students who are struggling to pass their courses and students who are simply looking to improve upon their current skills level.

My expertise includes all elementary subject areas, writing, studying, and reading skills at all grade levels. Additionally, I am fluent in Spanish and can support instruction in this domain as well. As a person who has worked for a Georgia state testing program for several years, I am also able to work on test preparation for the CRCT in grades 3-8.

If you believe my instructional philosophy may be well aligned, please do not hesitate to contact me to inquire about tutoring in areas that may not be listed above.
