I have a strong quantitative background as I hold a PhD in Psychometrics and an MS in Biostatistics. I have been informally tutoring statistics at the graduate level for 7 years. I can also tutor in the subjects of psychology and SPSS software. Furthermore, I can provide assistance with every aspect of a research project including methods development, data analysis, and discussion of the findings.
I believe that statistics can be understandable to all students; the key is viewing the statistical concepts in terms that are relatable to the student. With appropriate communication, topics initially viewed as difficult can begin to appear easy. My hope is that the tutoring sessions end with students not only feeling that they have a firm grasp of statistics but also that they find the subject enjoyable.
