I enjoy helping students reach their potential. I have a M.Ed. from Johns Hopkins and have specialized in the teaching of twice-exceptional students (those with learning disabilities and gifted tendencies). I appreciate the unique characteristics of each student and use their areas of strength to enhance their weaker areas. I attempt to make each lesson interesting to the students by making them relevant to their lives. In addition to working with students and their parents, I will also work with the students' classroom teachers, as desired.

Elementary Math

I have an M.Ed. and have taught Kindergarten and 3rd-5th grade science. My master's project was in K-2nd grade mathematics. I have tutored students from PK-6th in all content areas.

Study Skills

I have instructed students in note-taking, comprehension strategies, and organizational techniques to aid their memories and study skills.

ADD/ADHD

I have an M.Ed. and specialized in gifted students with learning disabilities, including ADD/ADHD. My B.A. is in Child Psychology. I have years of experience working with ADD/ADHD students, including those who also exhibit other learning disabilities. I can provide content area tutoring, as well as executive function (organizational) coaching.
