I have more than 8 years of experience tutoring. I have worked in middle and high schools as well as in various GED programs. I have an uncanny ability to develop rapport with adults and children which makes it easier to impart the necessary information. As your tutor, I will do the following:assess your skills by administering a short pre-test, develop a plan, administer a quiz/test at the mid-point which is usually after a set amount of tutoring hours (10-12), continue plan with modifications based on mid-point assessment and administer a post-test at the end. My fun-loving nature, organization, passion and dedication coupled with my experience makes me an excellent tutor.

Algebra 1

I will help you to make connections between equations and number sentences. The more you practice algebra and understand the terms then it becomes easier. I will start with making sure you understand the algebra vocabulary and then move on to different skill topics.

Grammar

I have been teaching writing for many years, and grammar goes hand-in-hand with writing. Presently, I am a writing teacher and will be able to give you some tips to help you remember the different rules in grammar

GED

I have been a GED instructor since 2006. Currently, I am a GED instructor at Montgomery College. Not only will I be able to help you pass the GED, but I will also be able to guide you through the process from beginning to end.
