My name is Juliana and I want to share with you my love for teaching! I have been teaching since I graduated college and I know I was born to teach. I have a Bachelors degree in Communication Arts and I taught Spanish, ESL, GED and trained individuals and groups in different topics for the past 25 years. I currently work as a full-time instructor at a private institution and I have completed graduate credits in psychology, management and leadership.
I see tutoring as private coaching and love interacting with students of diverse ages and backgrounds. I especially like teaching one-on-one because I can tailor what I am teaching to my student's individual needs. I like to use numerous teaching strategies which include lectures, cooperative learning, integrating technologies, interactive learning, and discussions, to name a few. I think is very important to use teaching methods and techniques that are effective and work well with each student. I like to provide consistent feedback to my students while working with them and I like to work at their pace while keeping their learning goals and objectives in mind.
Teaching and tutoring is a perfect fit with my education, professional and personal experience. I have worked for many years with diverse communities throughout the United States which have afforded me the experience to be exposed to a myriad of students ranging from ages 12 to 70!
Furthermore, my extensive professional experience as a language instructor and teacher coupled with my thorough knowledge of the English and Spanish languages make me an ideal candidate for this job. I look forward to a mutual effective and positive tutoring experience!
