Patient and Knowledgeable Tutor for All Math Subjects

My previous work experience and leadership roles with tutoring children make me an ideal candidate. I am currently looking for various tutoring positions to help the youth succeed in school. I know that the combination of my experience, education, and motivation to help students excel will benefit you.

I am experienced in working with children that have learning disabilities, as well as adults. I have a great deal of patience, along with a motivating and kind spirit.

My experience at Charlottesville, Virginia after school programs and Washington, D.C. tutoring programs, combined with teaching fifth through eighth grade students Math and Science at New Horizons Governor’s School of Technology in Newport News, Virginia has convinced me that working with students, is a position that suits me well. Recently I have tutored one-on-one Algebra 1 and 2, Geometry, Statistics, Pre-Calculus and Basic Computer skills in the DC metro area.

Algebra 2

I have tutored numerous students (including MS, HS, and college) in Algebra 2. Very knowledgeable in Algebra and enjoy teaching the subject.

Elementary (K-6th)

I currently tutor students of all Math subjects as well as some general subjects for K-6th. I currently volunteer at my church where I tutor children of all ages and subjects. Recently I have worked with a Kindergarten student in Reading, a 4th grade student in Math and Writing, and a 5th grader in Math.

General Computer

I am a UVA grad with a BS in Computer Engineering. I currently work full-time as a Technical Consultant with a focus on Microsoft products. I have taught an adult class on Basic Computer Skills, as well as have worked with 2 students with learning disabilities, teaching them Microsoft Office and related computer skills.

Discrete Math

I am a graduate of the University of Virginia where I received a BS in Computer Engineering. Discrete Math was one of the courses I had to enroll in, and I passed this course with an A. I also was the class grader as a part-time job after passing the class, for the professor.
