Linear Algebra

Linear algebra is the study of vectors, matrices, tensors, etc. associated with a coordinate system (Cartesian-Euclidean, cylindrical, spherical, curve-linear, etc.). Central to the theme of linear algebra is the concept of linear transformation. I am a consulting scientist in the Washington DC area and use linear algebra in my daily work to characterize and solve multi-dimensional problems. I studied linear algebra at the Case Institute of Technology and have tutored a number of college students in Matrices and Linear Algebra. I have also tutored students in the application of linear algebra to solving (1) systems of linear equations and (2) using linear algebra to solving complex, linear circuits.

Accommodating, Patient and Easy to Reach I am a college sophomore majoring in Biology and contacted Barry for assistance in preparing for my General Physics final exam. Barry met me at home, as well as at school, was always prompt in returning calls and emails, and was patient when I needed things to be slowed down or repeated. He made sure I conceptually understood ideas and equations before applying them to problems, which solidified m ...
