Hi potential students and parents!
Because I have a doctorate in Toxicology from North Carolina State University and a bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from Le Moyne College, I have extensive and comprehensive knowledge of a wide variety of math and science topics. My expertise includes biochemistry, biology, chemistry, genetics, microbiology, organic chemistry, and pharmacology. In terms of mathematics, I am well-versed in algebra, calculus, and geometry.
I also have teaching experience, having taught students in both group and individual student environments on the high school, college, and graduate levels. I tutored organic chemistry for multiple semesters during college - my teaching method, which relies heavily on drawing analogies between subject matter and everyday objects (for example, relating the structures of a living cell and a cell phone), is still used by the college's organic chemistry tutors today.
I will work with you to improve your understanding of the subject matter using whatever teaching techniques best match your learning style. I will create practice tests, flash cards, analogies, or any other learning tool that is necessary to ensure you achieve mastery of your subject material.
