Excellent Math Tutor with 15 Years Experience

I am a pharmacist and worked as a staff and supervisor at the hospital for 8 years.

I am very passionate about math and teaching. Even though I have a strong science background, I decided to direct my tutoring to math because I believe that a higher level of excellence can be achieved when the scope of my teaching is more focused.

Also, I love to work with younger students, so I enjoy teaching elementary students in all subjects.

As a tutor, I go beyond the confines of academics and encourage my students to get involved in extracurricular activities as much as possible to help foster a well-rounded education.

I realize that every student learns differently, so I am skilled in explaining new concepts at his or her own pace and in different ways.

Through patience, enthusiasm, and excellence, my goal as an educator is not only to help raise my students' grades but also to instill in them an equaled passion to mine for learning and seeking knowledge for themselves.

Elementary (K-6th)

I taught my two children at home in all subjects throughout elementary school, and they are both successful high school students. I am familiar with the MCPS curriculum. I am able to teach students of all grade levels important study skills to be successful in school with good time management, test-taking strategies, and note-taking strategies. I believe these skills will help students maximize their potential in school and excel in all subjects while being able to continue to be involved in extracurricular activities.

ADD/ADHD

I have experience teaching students with ADD/ADHD as well as a medical background and thorough understanding of what they are going through. I am very patient and know how to help them work efficiently. I am able to teach concepts and material in ways that accommodate to them. I am also able to teach them necessary study and organizational skills that will help them in accomplishing their goals.
