I have a B.A. in Mathematics and Masters degree in Computer Science from the University of Minnesota.
I provide tutoring in Computer Science, Hebrew, and Bar & Bat Mitzvah Preparation/Torah Reading/Judaics.
My approach to almost all subjects is to analyze and understand all the aspects of the subject matter, decompose complex topics into sub-components, and find a successful solution.
I challenge my students to think in new and unconventional ways. There is always humor, wisdom, and encouragement to make the lessons enjoyable and non-conventional.
I have lived in Israel and the United States, and have native fluency at a collegiate level in both languages.
I have held senior computer systems management and engineering positions in Tadiran LTD, McDonnell Douglas, NASA, U.S. Postal Service, and HP/Compaq Computer Corporations. I was on the team that provided 24x7 computer and SAN support for all VA Hospitals. I also provided computer and SAN support the FDA.
I have also served as a Certified Hebrew Linguist for the FBI and DEA. I have taught Hebrew, Judaics, and provided Bar/Bar Mitzvah lessons to numerous children at several synagogues, Hebrew schools, and provided private tutoring. I have the most advanced Hebrew/English publication facilities and provide Bar/Bat Mitzvah training materials with all Hebrew subtleties distinguished by typography and color (ie kamatz kattan, sheva nach and na, shin and sin, mapiq, etc.). I also build interactive study guides to help students use computer based training to improve their success and fun as they master their lessons.
