Hi. My name is Arielle and I'm a nuclear engineer. I have been working in this field for the past 7 years, starting with my time in the Navy. My background is in science and math, specifically physics. I graduated from Northwestern University in 2003 with a BA in Physics and was commissioned as a Naval Officer. I served for five years as a Surface Warfare Officer with a Nuclear Sub-specialty.

After the Navy I worked as a Nuclear Engineer at General Electric Hitachi Nuclear Energy for 2.5 years. Now I work as a Nuclear Engineer at AREVA Enrichment Services. I have a Professional Engineers license and am on several committees within the American Nuclear Society. I am eager to help students improve their understanding of math and science; however, I am also well versed in grammar, literature, and history (both American and World histories). I work with high school and undergraduate level students. I prefer to tutor in libraries.

Differential Equations

My undergraduate degree is in Physics. As such I took four years of high level math including ordinary differential equations, partial differential equations, and Fourier transforms and series. I am currently working on my master's in Nuclear Engineering so these topics are fresh in my mind and regularly used.
