Hi, my name is Heidi. I am a professionally certified elementary school teacher in three states and have been teaching for the past 20 years in the D.C. metro area. I have a bachelors degree and two masters degrees, all in elementary education. My experience teaching in the Montgomery County school system has given me an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the standards-based curriculum that students are challenged with every day. Through my broad experience as a classroom teacher I have gained a sensitivity toward the unique learning styles of elementary school students and developed strategies that make learning fun. I take a personal interest in the success of each student and every one receives my individualized attention. How important is your child's education?

I am a certified elementary teacher and Reading Specialist. I have been teaching first and second grade for the past six years and was a Reading Specialist for 2 years. I have worked for nine years in MCPS here in Maryland.

I have worked with students in the area of study skills by offering strategies in math and reading to help them retain what they learn in the classroom. I incorporate games as a way to make learning fun!

Special Needs

I am a professionally certified elementary school teacher in three states and have been teaching for the past 20 years. I have worked with students who have special needs such as ADD, ADHD, LD, EMR, Apraxia, and those who suffer setbacks from diseases such as Meningitis.
