I have six (6) years experience in teaching, first as a an intern, while pursuing a baccalaureate degree. Then while working on a Master's in History, I was hired by the university as a teaching assistant. Later following completion of my doctoral work, I was hired as an Associate Professor of History at the same state university in the Southeast.
I have nearly twenty (20) years experience in the Hospitality Industry with more than eight (8) years of management and supervisory experience. Following service in the United States Marine Corps, I gained valuable experience as a night manager of a large resort in Panama City Beach, Florida. In Hotel Management I gained extensive experience in bookkeeping and accounting as well as short-term and long term property management experience. I have fifteen (15) years experience in the construction/light manufacturing and skilled trades industries. This has given me knowledge of building codes and construction methods.
With my academic background and broad range of experience in variety of industries I bring a unique and very diverse perspective to teaching.
