Hi,
I would like to tell you a little about me and how I could help your child become successful in school. Currently I have been teaching in the state of Maryland for 6 yrs. During this time I had the opportunity to teach honors, general and co-taught Biology along with Physical Science or Matter and Energy.
I felt it was very important for me to learn how to be a better educator to all my students no matter the subject or learning level. Therefore, I continued my education and obtained a Masters in Education degree from Gratz University. This degree really made a difference in how I teach and connect with my students. The program is outstanding in not only teaching strategies, evaluated student progress, and how to deal with difficult behaviors. The program gave me insight on how the brain learns and the difference between gender and racial learning. I have implemented the various methods into my own classroom with great success.
Another key part to education is the student teacher bond. I truly believe that a student has to be able to have open honest trusting relationship with their teacher in order to learn. If the student feels unwanted or disliked they will not try to perform their best. My goal is make sure my students will be successful in and out of school.
True fact about me. I joined the Army as a combat medic for four years after dropping out of college. During my time in service I learned the important lessons on what it takes to be successful in the real world. How the key to success comes from be organized, discipline, having pride, along with the ability to follow through completing task. My discipline learn in the Army help mold the teacher I an today.
I would love the opportunity to give your child a taste of what it is like to feel successful in and out of school.
Sincerely,
Sandra
