I worked for over 10 years in the Photography industry shooting film and digital media. Started in photo processing and have continued on into visual communications in Graphic design and Web Design.

I'm proficient in Adobe Photoshop to edit photographs, photo-restoration and photo manipulation. I am also familiar with Adobe Elements, Lightroom, Illustrator, Indesign and other various software platforms.

I am an active member for YCCC- York County Camera Club. 2012 I was awarded the Novice Photographer of the year and given recognition to Professional Grade. During my membership I have won 1 First place Ribbon for Novice Nature Competition , 3 Second Place Ribbons, 1 for People, 1 for Nature and one for Best shot. Also I received 3 Honorable mentions, 1 For People and 1 for Perspective competition in the Professional category and one for Silhouette competition in the Professional category. 2013 I was elected Secretary for the club to keep records and information.

Drawing

I was a gifted and talented student awarded in the 8th grade. I majored in studio art throughout high school. I have trained in use of all forms of media including sketching, charcoal, watercolor, oil painting, acrylic and mixed media. I have worked as an art/craft instructor for the YMCA of the Rockies teaching various art forms such as painting, screen painting, and leather designing. I have taught children on drawing techniques and showed adults through demonstrations.

Film

I studied studio photography in high school working film cameras and dark room equipment. I continued on in photo-processing starting in one-hour photos store such as Ritz Camera, TechLab and FotoImage, advancing to lab and assistant manager. I advanced up to a professional photography printing lab such as Artography and Nations Lab before starting on my own as a freelancing and converting to digital media.

I understand film processing from developing negatives to creating prints in a dark room environment. I've used hand processing as well as machine processing so can give expertise on equipment purchase, studio and dark room setup as well as networking advice for startup photographers.

Painting

I majored in fine arts and continue to practice painting as a hobby. I understand acrylic, watercolor, and oil painting from getting supplies to finishing, preserving, and cleanup.

Photography

I studied film photography in High school and learned how to use a manual camera, how to process film, create prints using a dark room and create artistic photography. I worked for 8 years in the photography industry as a photo lab technician, sales associate, lab manager and manager. For the past 7 years I have worked in photo studios for web site photography.
I worked 2 1/2 years for Ritz Camera. 9 months for Techlab, 9 months for Artography, 1 year and a half for FotoImage and 1 month for Nations.
For 5 years I was in charge of the photography studio for WebbMason Inc.

I'm able to use both Film and Digital cameras for any type of model brand. I understand both film and digital processing and have trained in the use of both. I have been involved for 1 year in a photography club, York County Camera Club as a Professional Photographer.
