Hello,
My name is Alison. I am a professional photo editor with 5 years experience. I have worked for Cosmopolitan Magazine, Woman's World Magazine, LivingSocial, as well as some side freelance jobs. I discovered my passion for Photoshop while in college and ended up teaching an intro to Photoshop course during winter term my senior year in 2007. Along with my professional experience, I have fueled my passion for Photoshop by joining the National Association of Photoshop Professionals and attending Photoshop seminars with world-renowned professionals. When not at work, I am on Photoshop at home, tweaking family photos and basically just loving my career that also happens to be my hobby. Photoshop can be so fun and I will always strive to share that joy with others. My personal style is to enhance photography, so that it still looks natural, but with a subtle POP that will set your images apart from others. If you are interested in extreme saturation or isolated colors, I can teach you that as well, however will also share with you the reasons that may not be the best thing for your photos in the long run (depending on your needs). My lesson will focus on color correction, hue/saturation, contrast, levels, curves, highlights and shadows, and removing distracting elements from your photos (including the new feature, content aware - for versions CS5 or higher). I currently use CS6, however can teach you with versions CS4 or higher. If you have less than CS4, you really won't get the value for your money on what I can teach you, because your version is too out-dated.
Photoshop is my passion, my hobby & my career and I'd love to teach you the skills that have brought myself and others so much joy. Whether you are looking for personal use, gifts for family members, or professional use, I am happy to teach you the tools that will get you that "WOW" factor!
