Hello!

I am a patient and knowledgeable tutor and teach from a positive point of view. It is my love for education and compassion for my students that make me successful at what I do. After years of work and study, tutoring is my sole occupation, and I spend many hours outside each session focusing on the individual student.

I currently tutor students in high school biology, 100 level college biology, middle school science, English, and the ACT & SAT topics in critical reading, writing, grammar and vocabulary. I minored in English literature at the City University of New York and graduated from the University of California - San Diego in biology. I have a PhD in molecular biology from the State University of New York at Stony Brook School of Medicine. I have spent many years doing research and scientific review which included the necessary skills in writing, reading and teaching.

I tutor in my home in Olney, Maryland, but I will travel if necessary.
