My name is Steve, I am 41 and have a strong love for two things most in my life: Iberian culture and art. I have a degree in art studio - photography from the University of SC and worked as a photographer/digital page layout artist for 10 years. I am often hired freelance as a photographer to cover corporate events and prepare the images for print in catalogs, brochures, websites, or magazines.
I also have traveled to Spain (particularly Madrid, Aragon, and Valencia) five times, the last four being within the last three years. Currently my day job is as the Spanish-Speaking Sales Account Representative for a game distributor company. About 25% of my accounts are in Hispanic countries, such as Mexico, Argentina, Panama, Chile, Guatemala, and Brazil (though Brazil speaks English and Portuguese, really), as well as Spain.
I have tutored Latino immigrants in English with great results, at times using my Spanish to communicate difficult concepts to them to facilitate learning and also playing learning games with them for memory retention. I like to keep the student active and engaged, so that the student stays focused and interested. I am very easy-going, fun, and I try to always bring a smile to everyone I work with, in order to keep the sessions light and engaging, yet challenging.
If you have any questions at all, I would be more than happy to answer them!
