What I can offer:
As an experienced middle-school teacher, I have high expectations for my students and hold them accountable for their progress. I tailor my sessions to the individual based on learning style, background knowledge and personal needs. I'm trained in methods of differentiation, multiple intelligence theory and assessment. I communicate well with teachers and would be willing to assist as a liaison.
Who I am:
I hold my Masters in teaching and am certified for middle and high school. I began my career in New York City and after getting married, continued it here in Maryland. I specialize in U.S. History, Ancient History, Global Studies and Government. Additionally, I have tutored students in Math, English and Writing on all academic levels. I love teaching and have experience working with students individually and in groups.
