I having been a public school business teacher for 18 years. I hold an Advanced Professional teaching certificate, Bachelor of Science degrees in Business Administration from UNC-Greensboro (1985) and Business Education from the University of Maryland-College Park (1994). I also have an MBA in Accounting from the University of Phoenix (2004). I currently teach Accounting, Financial Management Using Excel, Business Law, and Web Page Design. I have taught the following additional courses throughout my tenure as a business teacher: Computer Software Applications (Microsoft 2007 & 2010), Keyboarding, Principles of Business, Advanced Accounting, Entrepreneurship, Visual Basic, and Word Processing. I serve as a part-time Adjunct Accounting professor at a local community college. I incorporate all learning styles (visual, kinesthetic, and auditory) in my teaching. I have taken the MOS Certification Exam for Microsoft Word 2010 at the University of Maryland, Eastern Shore, as part of my professional development as a Business teacher in Prince George's County, Maryland. I passed the exam the first time around and received certification on July 16, 2011.
