I am a recent college graduate from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. I graduated with honors, with a degree in Computer Engineering and minors in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science. I have a strong passion for mathematics and helping people. As an undergraduate, I worked on campus as a tutor for the mathematics and physics departments. I am knowledgeable in mathematics up to college level differential equations and statistics; however, I can also provide supplemental instruction in subjects such as physics, and computer science.
I am a strong believer in focusing on reinforcing the methodology taught in the classroom whenever possible. Teachers and college professors typically test the way they teach; so I focus on helping students understand the concepts as well as their teacher's preferred approach in order help students preform well on tests.
I also believe that every student is different and that tutors need to be able to adapt to different learning styles. I will always start a potential tutoring relationship by trying to get a good understanding of the student's learning style and then developing an effective approach for teaching the subject matter based on that learning style.
