My name is Mr. Wynston W. I am a parent, Life Coach, and Tutor, and hold a Master of Education degree. Over the past 19 years, my mission has been to help students in jeopardy of failing in school.

No matter how smart you think your child is, assignments and homework are loaded with many new concepts, formulas, and challenges!

Working alongside teachers and counselors from public, private, and charter schools throughout within the region ... many of you have referred distraught parents to me seeking academic help for their kids.

Now you can benefit from my 19 years of experience, including scores of parents who rely on my sound academic counseling.

Mr. W. was raised, nurtured, and educated in the rich and diverse cultures of sub-Saharan West Africa, Continental Europe, and here in the United States where he graduated from Cambridge College, MA. He defines success as the will to get up and try again - after a person has fallen down. With successful adult children of his own, he has first-hand experience with children and youth, and since 1981, has worked on their behalf as both a professional and volunteer: from court-appointed special advocate submitting recommendations to the court on children ruled dependent, neglected and/or abused, to managing youth residential programs; from busing kids to and from school, to tutoring them at his after school/homework assistant program; from providing needs assessments for juveniles at the youth correctional center, to offering individual/group sessions to determine successful emancipation from state care.

Mr. W. brings a unique, refreshing perspective to a child’s right to claim his or her own success!

College Counseling

I review students’ progress reports and report cards, arrange meaningful quarterly activities for students and their families, and try to ensure that students have the academic and family support services they need to succeed.

I also work with families to ensure all necessary forms are sent in and all financial requirements met for the chosen college so that students can begin classes in the fall without complications.

I have a Master of Education degree from Cambridge College, MA.

Elementary (K-6th)

I am currently Head Instructor at the Laurel Boys and Girls Club After School Program. In addition to overseeing and approving k-7th grade student's homework which span all subject areas, I supervise teachers who assist.

I also worked extensively with ClubZ Tutoring Inc., as an In-Home Tutor with students k-8th, under the SES (Supplemental Educational Services) Program of NCLB (No Child Left Behind). Validation of this upon request.

With emphasis that handwriting skills improve student ability across all curriculum, I teach / tutor cognitive letter-building handwriting skills which involve the learning and understanding of motor patterns and strokes that form each letter in both regular and cursive mode. I have a Master of Education degree from Cambridge College, and am currently Head Instructor at an after school program.

Study Skills

Over the many years I've tutored students, I designed and implemented a practical study skill behavior model with checklists that integrate:

- Studying with a purpose
- Getting organized for schoolwork / homework
- Taking effective notes
- Planning ahead for large assignments
- Reading comprehension and memory skills
- Studying for, and taking tests

The above characteristics are an inherent part of the after school program I supervise as Head Instructor, at the Laurel Boys & Girls Club.

I have a Master of Education degree from Cambridge College, and am proficient in Writing, Spelling, Proofreading, English, and Grammar.

I'm standing by to assist you with your needs in these areas.
