Rensselaer Engineering Alumnus Tutor for Grades 7-12

Need help with math or science? I can help! I’m an experienced tutor and love helping students learn new concepts. During my undergraduate years at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute or RPI in New York, I volunteered at the local middle and elementary schools to tutor math and science. I also provided academic assistance to my undergraduate peers at RPI. Prior to moving to Maryland, I have had the pleasure to tutor students near Troy, NY and Poughkeepsie,NY thru WyzAnt. I find the tutoring experience rewarding and am looking to meet new students whom I can help. I create a stress-free environment in which the students can relate and enjoy their coursework. Every student has their own unique learning style and performs best when the challenge meets their interest.

I received my Master's in Electrical Engineering, with a concentration in Microelectronics, in 2010 and graduated Magna Cum Laude, with a BSc in Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Transferring 23 credits worth of Advanced Placement coursework allowed me to graduate early from RPI.I have served on the Executive Board of two engineering honor societies and have been a member of the Red and White Student Ambassador program.

I have performed very well on my AP courses (US History, Physics, Calculus, Chemistry) and am comfortable teaching high school level Math and Science.

Most of the courses that I took at RPI are related to core engineering and electrical engineering concepts. I have also taken several Business and Management courses and would be glad to tutor in those fields, too.
