I received a Bachelor's Degree in Meteorology from the Pennsylvania State University and subsequently joined the Air Force. During my military service I completed my Master's Degree in Computer Information Systems from Boston University. In addition I have also completed a diploma in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL).
I have experience teaching Mathematics, Science and English for 3 years to middle school and high school students in Bogota, Colombia. I have also taught junior weather forecasters in the Air Force for 11 years. The weather curriculum relies on intermediate and advanced topics in mathematics and physics as well as the concepts of atmospheric processes to include cloud physics and thermodynamics. I use a very structured approach for my classes, beginning with the basic concepts and then providing real world examples and problem solving for those concepts. Once the student has mastered the basics, I build on those for more advanced and technical theories and techniques.
