Teaching is my passion.
For more than 27 years I taught from Elementary to High School in Brazil.
I taught subject matters like Social Studies, Science, and Languages. Portuguese is my native language; however, I am fluent in both Spanish and English.
After coming to the United States in 2003 and 2004, I went back to Brazil to teach ESL in private English schools. I believe the knowledge of other languages open doors of opportunities, as well as awareness of other cultures and lifestyles. The student becomes a world citizen.
I believe in the use of technologies as resources to implement students’ learning. I believe music and games, as well as arts and crafts are keys to promote languages learning environment, because these resources achieve the diverse ways a student learns. I believe each student has strengths that enable their learning, and the knowledge of these strengths by the teacher is an important tool to develop instructional ways to achieve individual learning.
