I have experience teaching and tutoring continuing education adult and middle school students in different types of mathematics. I have completed the majority of my coursework towards a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering. I have a strong passion for math, working with numbers and helping others in need. I exhibit a level of patience that enhances my ability to tutor.
I served as a mentor and teacher to middle school students from low-income families. Primarily, I taught reading and writing skills that helped to raise students’ standardized test scores. I was also required to maintain detailed, creative lesson plans for an all-day summer and after-school program. The after-school program contained a portion designated for homework help, in which case I ensured the students' received the attention they deserved to ensure their homework was completed correctly.
