A little about me: I'm a professional, published writer who also loves to teach. I've worked as an editor for high school and college level work, tutored in SAT prep, and taught after school classes for elementary school students. My SAT scores were 780 in critical reading and 790 in writing and I received a national writing award while still in high school.
My tutoring methods are simple: I realize that everyone has a different learning style and that one size does not fill all. With that in mind, I aim to make each tutoring session productive by setting goals with my students before each meeting and then working with the student to find the easiest, most fun way to reach those goals. I believe that better writing skills can be acquired through critical reading, but am happy to adjust any of my methods to suit the students' needs.
