Do You Need A Patient Tutor for GED, Math, Language Arts, or Praxis

Hello Student and/or Parent,

If you need a tutor for GED, Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Praxis, writing, or grammar, I am accepting students. I have been successfully tutoring, teaching, training, and/or coaching since 1992. My experiences have enabled me to assess a student's level of understanding to help determine the best teaching techniques for the tutored subject.

I have been a GED instructor at Prince George's Community College since 2007 and have taught GED classes previously with the Prince George's County Public School System. While obtaining my bachelor's degree, I tutored Business Math, Accounting, Statistics, and Finance for Bowie State University's Business Administration department and substitute taught in a local public school system. In addition, I passed the Praxis exam (standardized teacher's exam) in 2007 on the first try, getting 28 out of 30 questions correct on the math part of the test.

Algebra 1

I have been teaching algebra in the Adult Education program at Prince George's Community College since 2007 and previously with the Prince George's County Public School System's adult education as well. I actually answered 28 out of 30 correct on the math part of the national teachers’ exam (PRAXIS). In addition, I have the unique ability to explain math topics in multiple ways just in case the student does not fully understand the way the topics are taught in the textbook.

Grammar

I have been teaching grammar and reading in the Adult Education program at Prince George's Community College since 2007 and previously with the Prince George's County Public School System's adult education program as well. I have a deep understanding of mechanics, punctuation, and sentence and paragraph structure. I also have the ability to explain complicated grammar topics in a way that most students can remember.

Prealgebra

I have been teaching pre-algebra in the Adult Education program at Prince George's Community College since 2007 and previously with the Prince George's County Public School System's adult education as well. I am able to explain math topics in a way that students can understand.

Writing

I have been teaching writing at Prince George’s Community College since 2007 and previously with the Prince George's County Public School System's. I have a deep understanding of mechanics, punctuation, and sentence and paragraph structure. I have been teaching English/language arts in the Adult Education program at Prince George's Community College since 2007 and previously with the Prince George's County Public School System's adult education as well. I have a strong command of the English language and the unique ability to explain English/language arts topics in a way that most students can understand.

Accounting

I have previous experience tutoring accounting for Bowie State University's Business Administration department.

I have also obtained several years of work experience in the accounting field.

My undergraduate accounting GPA was a 3.67, and I recently obtained my MBA.

GED

I have been a GED instructor at Prince George's Community College since 2007 and have taught GED classes previously with the Prince George's County Public School System. I have the unique ability to explain the more challenging areas of the GED subject areas.

Praxis

I have been an instructor at Prince George's Community College since 2007 and have previously taught classes with the Prince George's County Public School System.
