I am a teacher trained in West Africa at one of the teacher colleges established by the United Nations. My specialty in the teaching field is technical studies. This major includes general mathematics, technical mathematics, technical drawing, appropriate technology application, physics, metallurgy, woodwork, metalwork and chemistry. In addition to the above major, other classes included developmental psychology, sociology, child psychology, teaching skills, English language, English literature and teaching practice. The latter group of classes were taken to fulfill the requirement of graduating as a certified teacher. Also, I have an associate's degree in the sciences. I attained this qualification from Cypress college in the state of California. The major classes included in this degree are chemistry, mathematics, biology, college psychology, sociology, psychiatric technology and general education classes; some of which are English Language and English Literature.
I have been tutoring adults and children since finishing teacher college in 1986. I teach and tutor basic math, reading, writing and science to all grades in school. My adequate teaching skills I use to teach students is the reason my students improve tremendously and achieve high grades in school. In my tutoring approach, I consider that no two individuals have the same characteristics; therefore, I tutor each student according to his or her ability to learn. This method makes me a very patient tutor. I continue to have interest in tutoring because it makes me a patient and hardworking person. Also, it makes me more knowledgeable. It makes me the patient person, because I have learnt to be patient in order to succeessfully tutor a person to understand a subject matter. Furthermore,I have learnt to be hardworking because it takes one to prepare a lesson before the tutoring.Tutoring over the years, has lead me to acquire a lot of knowlege on subject matters; this condition has made me to be very knowlegeable.
My hobby is writing. I just finished writng a book in soccer. the title of this book is "foundations of playing excellent soccer". I wrote this book because I used to play excellent soccer. This is evidenced by me playing for Cypress college.Therefore I can tutor soccer too. If a parent has a son or dauhther to be tutored in soccer, I can gladly tutor him or her and make this individual a great soccer player.
