I used to be very poor in math and science, receiving a close to last ranking in my middle school. Thankfully I have a great mother who took it upon her herself to do everything necessary to help her son. She hired 3 tutors for me that helped shape my life. Now I am a professional electrical engineer who graduated with honors from one of Maryland's best engineering schools and is a member of several honor societies and professional organizations. I also never had less than an "A" in math, physics and chemistry throughout college.
It is personal to me when I see people struggling in the areas I am best at, and I enjoy the satisfaction that comes from knowing I'm sowing a seed of greatness into someone else just like some people did for me. I have also been tutoring college level math (calculus, precalculus, differential equation, and linear algebra), chemistry (physical, inorganic, and general) and physics (mechanics, electricity and magnetism) for more than four years. I have been nominated best tutor of the month thrice and once as the best tutor of the year.
Over the course of helping several students, I understand people assimilate information differently and I have acquired the necessary skills needed to help you grasp any math/science concept. I also understand the psychology of keeping people positive when helping them since this could go a long way. Improvement and success are no doubt guaranteed with me.
