ADD/ADHD

I currently oversee the Disability Advocacy Institute LLC in Southern Maryland. When working with students with ADHD I like to start by working with an executive functions workbook to develop strategies that will work for the student to be more organized. This will help students to not fall as far behind, reducing some anxiety. I personally have ADHD and know what its like to struggle through school needing some extra help. I have also worked in the disability support services office at a University and can give perspective about accomodations and steps to consider when applying to schools. I have worked with students from ages 5 to 25 on how to change ADHD from being a burden to a benefit in their studies.

Special Needs

I personally have ADHD and know what its like to go through school needing some extra help. I have worked with individuals with disabilities for over a decade. I have experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities at two DDA agencies in Southern Maryland. I worked in the disability support services office of Virginia Commonwealth University. I currently oversee the Disability Advocacy Institute LLC in Southern Maryland.

World History

History is an amazing subject that explores the vastness of time. It is responsible for creating one of the best game series ever created: Civilization, which I have used as a fun way to encourage a desire to gain a broader knowledge of the subject from my pupils. I have assisted students with review for exams and suggested revisions of their work. I thoroughly enjoy the free access the Smithsonian provides us into our past, and wish to share my love for the subject with others.
