I want to help students get the technical skills that they need to succeed. When it comes to computers "I have been there and done that." I am a Software Engineer with 20+ years' experience that can teach students the what, how and why's of computer science.

Computers are no longer a separate field of study but rather they are integral to almost every field of study. My lessons focus on using computers to develop "Computational Thinking" skills. Computational Thinking is a way of solving problems, designing systems, and understanding human behavior that draws on concepts fundamental to computer science. To flourish in today's world, computational thinking has to be a fundamental part of the way people think and understand the world.

I have degrees from two of the top engineering schools in the country. BS in Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a Master's from UCLA in Software Reliability.

While at Costar I managed a team developing a suite of sophisticated enterprise web applications for the commercial real estate.
